Privacy

Swiss-Knives is built so that using it requires trusting us with as little as possible. This page describes exactly what happens to data when you use the site.

Everything runs in your browser

Every tool executes entirely on your device. Text you type, tokens you paste, and files you drop are processed in your browser's memory and are never transmitted to us or anyone else. There are no accounts, no sign-ups, and no analytics or tracking scripts on this site.

Data stored on your device

The site keeps four small preferences in your browser's local storage. They never contain anything you entered into a tool:

  • sk:themeYour light/dark theme choice.
  • sk:sidebarWhether the desktop sidebar is collapsed.
  • sk:favoritesThe tools you starred, so they sort first.
  • sk:consentYour advertising-cookie decision.

You can remove all of them at any time through your browser's site-data controls; the site works identically without them.

Advertising

The site is funded by display advertising (Google AdSense) — the only third party involved in running it. Ad delivery can use cookies and similar identifiers, which is why you are asked for a choice before any ad scripts load. Google describes its processing at policies.google.com/technologies/ads.

Your current choice: No choice recorded yet

Hosting

The site is served as static files from a content-delivery network. Like any web host, the CDN transiently processes connection data (such as your IP address and browser user-agent) in standard server logs to deliver pages and protect against abuse. We do not use this data to identify or profile you.
